The quality of an EVA clog or slipper is decided by the EVA compound it is moulded from. Before a bulk order, check a sample for three things, in this order: softness, lightness and finishing. A good compound gives a soft, light pair with neat trimming; low-grade EVA feels hard, is poorly trimmed and can crack. Buy from a manufacturer that checks every order before dispatch and stands behind it if a defect turns up.
Two pairs can look identical on a shelf and still be very different products. The difference is the EVA compound — the material mix the pair is moulded from. A good-quality compound gives a pair that is soft, comfortable and durable; with EVA, the lighter the product, the better it usually is.
You cannot see the compound, but you can feel what it does. That is what a sample check is for.
